       QUALITY MATERIALS AND LABOR

We are a conventional home builder; in other words, we deliver dimensional lumber to the job site where the carpenter cuts and builds the house piece by piece. The customer gets to see every piece of material that goes into the home and knows for himself that it is the finest materials. We guarantee our materials to meet all Gl, FHA, and other local codes.

We can build any style or type home you need and do as much labor as you would want us to do from a rough-in labor package to a complete turn key ready-to-move-in package--we know we have one to fit your needs.

We use Western Kiln-Dried lumber bought direct from the mills.

In the basement we furnish the steel posts and they are placed not more than 8' apart. The main bearing beams consist of 3-2 x 10's laminated, and we use varying lengths so the joints are staggered, and are not all on one post. We also can use a stud wall in the basement for support.

We use sill seal between the foundation and the treated sill plate to eliminate potential heat loss.

Pre-engineered floor truss system.

The house framing is 16" on center and we double the studs around all door and window openings and we use a solid header above all openings. This will assure you of no cracking in the sheetrock or sagging headers.

The plywood we use is all exterior glued on floor, walls, and roof.

Again, we do use plywood sheathing. Some builders use fiberboard or particle board to maximize profit; however, our volume buying allows us to use plywood at no extra charge, insuring you receive maximum strength for your home.

Truss rafter plant engineers the truss rafter system for maximum strength and flexibility in design.

We have any type or style of siding that would fit your needs, such as vinyl, steel, cedar, cement board  and other types.

We use Marvin Windows. They come in maintenance free exterior finish. All of our windows have Low-E, high performance insulated glass for heating and cooling efficiency.

We recommend a self-seal asphalt shingle. We have found this to be the most popular and durable. The interlocking, as well as the rustic-looking, wood-appearing shingles, rustic cedar wood shingles, and metal roofs are also available with a minimum of a 25 year warranty.

In a home which is not properly ventilated moisture problems can occur; to prevent this we use all maintenance-free soffit with venting and fascia which allows for proper ventilation of the attic area.

We use 2 x 6 exterior stud walls with 6" fiberglass insulation on our homes. Our standard ceiling insulation is 12" thick. Air infiltration barrier is standard to enhance the performance of fiberglass insulation. As an option, we have a super energy efficient package.

The sheetrock on the walls is 1/2", and we use 5/8" on the house ceiling.

We use solid oak molding and trim and oak veneer for the doors. The ready-hung doors are precision built. We use three hinges on all doors and quality door hardware. Hickory, maple and other woods are available as well as 2-3-4-5-6 panel doors.

We use all prefinished oak cabinets as our standard and have maple, hickory, knotty elder, and cherry available with many colors and styles to select from.
